Ms Ashleigh Chester
My name is Ashleigh and I am a recent First Class Chemistry Graduate from the University of Warwick.
I am passionate about science and education. As I know how challenging school can be, it is my aim to help anyone struggling.
I am patient, reliable and an excellent listener.
Tutoring experience
I have previous tutor experience teaching pupils in South Africa (my birthplace) as well as several students in GCSE (now year 13) from Stratford Girls Grammar School.
Approach to tutoring
I believe that every student has a different approach to learning and as a tutor, it is my job to develop a style which suits them best.
The first thing I aim to establish is a firm foundation of knowledge of the relevant concepts. Once I have made sure the student is engaged with the topics, I develop different ways of testing them eg: flash cards, worksheets, games (depending on the age).
Practice does make perfect and so my approach centres around extra ways of testing students through practice problems.
