I am a qualified science teacher working within the science department at a Wakefield-based school. I currently teach science at all key stages.
My specialist area of teaching is GCSE Biology as I possess a degree in Biomedical Sciences however, I also teach Chemistry and Physics at GCSE level. I currently teach Biology at AS and A-level following the AQA specification.
I am a friendly and approachable person with a passion for improving the life chances of students. I live in the Doncaster area and am able to travel.
Tutoring experience
I have not tutored before however, I have an in-depth knowledge of GCSE and A-level science which I use to inspire and motivate students on a daily basis.
Approach to tutoring
My in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and bank of teaching resources will allow me to tailor a tutoring package suited to the strengths and weaknesses of the student. I have experience of teaching to a wide range of abilities and have the know-how to develop strategies that will improve students confidence in the subject and promote higher achievement in GCSE examinations.
