I am currently a full-time and fully qualified Secondary School Teacher in Cambridge specialising in English and History and the director of Elite Tuition Cambridge (ETC) LTD - head over to our FB page.

We also cover Maths Primary, SATS , Entrance Exams and GCSE. I have studied at the University College London`s IOE Secondary Teaching Programme to complete the PGCE qualification, and I am a GCSE examiner for the OCR Board, but hold extensive experience with AQA, EDEXCEL and WJEC as well. In addition to this I am undertaking a Masters in Educational Research at the University of Cambridge.
At present I tutor across the range of Primary, KS3, GCSE, A-Level right up to Adult Learners. This includes Entrance Exams and IELTS.

Tutoring experience
Over the years I have tutored students between the ages of 5-28 with great results.
In the last few academic years 2017-2020 I have seen my GCSE students rise from Level 1/2 in English Literature and Language to Level 6s in their official GCSEs. I have maintained an extremely successful pass rate for Entrance Exams for students in Cambridge.
Equally, GCSE students starting from 6s rise to 8s and 9s. My previous A Level students worked extremely hard with my feedback and within the sessions to move from grade D to achieving Grade B and As in their final examinations.
The last academic year 2018-2019 I saw my state school students achieve 55 per cent Level 9 and all students receiving between Level 4 - 9. A fantastic achievement for each and every student.
Approach to tutoring
This level of improvement is achieved by establishing your child`s strengths and using their confidence to drive change in both their written and verbal communication. One of the most important aspects to learning and developing is making sure your child knows they are capable, and they are able to achieve top grades with the correct methods and essay writing techniques.
I tailor my sessions to your child by assessing their needs and the demands of their particular exam board. It is understanding how your child will reach those needs in the most effective way during exam conditions. This is an aspect which I use throughout my sessions, and a technique which has been very successful and informative for my previous students, breaks down the fear of working to timed conditions, and encourages confidence and effective writing skills.
