I am working as a Research Executive in a team that makes ethnographic documentaries, and I also teach in my spare time. I have an MA in Film & Screen studies (distinction) from Goldsmiths University and a BSc in Anthropology (distinction) from UCL.

I have extensive experience in tutoring and am an impeccable writer. I enjoy engaging with my students and finding out the best way for them to consume, and then produce, new knowledge. I have, myself, been tutored throughout my childhood and early teenage years. As the result, I am now fluent in 6 different languages (Croatian, Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish and English) so definitely know many different tricks of how to learn and retain knowledge!

I have always had an impeccable academic record (for example A*s last A-Levels in all 3 courses I took and various excellence scholarships) and love showing others that this, indeed, is not too hard!

The most important thing to know is that everyone learns in a different way, and I am here to help you find out yours!

Tutoring experience

I have many hours of experience tutoring students in Languages (French, Spanish, Croatian). I have taught French, Spanish, Sociology, Psychology and English for A-levels as well.

In addition, I have also proof-read a lot of university-level essays - details is where the good results lay!

All in all, I have experience in teaching a wide range of student ages and teaching remits. I love learning and think that learning should be fun and exciting and I definitely do my best to transmit that in all of my lessons!

Everyone who I have thought has been happy with my service and I am still in touch with some of my students!

Approach to tutoring

I love learning! Mostly about new cultures, languages and ways of being, but in general I am such a learning freak, and I try to pass this enthusiasm onto all of my students, regardless of their level.

When it comes to teaching languages, students often seem to lack self-confidence and that is what gets in the way of them speaking. The most important thing when learning a language is to commit errors out loud - the more errors you commit, the more you learn. This is why it is extremely important to me to create connection with the student to allow them to practice in a safe space where all of their errors are more than welcome!

When it comes to other subjects that I tutor, such as Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology, I find curiosity to be the most loyal aid. As these subjects are more about the way we approach and understand certain situations, than the situations themselves, to spark curiosity in the student is the best way to get them engaged and thinking!

I am able to help in all sort of situations. It could be a young students struggling with GSCE Spanish speaking, or an A-level/graduate student needing help with an analysis of a text or understanding the essence of the essay they have just read - I am here to share all the tricks I have such as writing technique and different remembering techniques.
