Hi! My name is Nick. I am a teaching assistant at the University of Exeter. I hold a Masters degree in Economics from Barcelona GSE, where I achieved an 81% grade point average. I studied for my undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Exeter, receiving a first-class honours.

I am able to tutor Economics at A-level or undergraduate level, across a range of topics. I have worked as an economist at HM Treasury and at an economic consultancy, so I can share my experience on how economics can be applied in a professional environment and offer advice to anyone aspiring to work as an economist.

Outside of economics, I have a passion for sports and travel. I spend my free time watching football, playing a game of tennis or planning my next holiday.

Tutoring experience

I teach economics tutorials at the University of Exeter, in addition to tutoring students privately in A-level Economics and at undergraduate level. Prior to this, I also worked as a teaching assistant during the final year of my undergraduate degree, teaching Macroeconomics and Statistics to first-year undergraduates. I find watching students develop thoroughly rewarding and I want to continue spreading my passion for economics to as many students as possible.

Approach to tutoring

I can adapt sessions to suit your needs, for example creating structured lessons based on the syllabus or working through exam questions. I am committed to good preparation, and will try to find a wide range of sources to help you learn. I will strive to make sessions interesting and interactive in order to maximise your chances of remembering the material!
