I am patient, caring and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour. I have always been able to relate well to children of all ages and have worked in a number of different educational settings, where I have always found the experience rewarding and enjoyable.
Tutoring experience
I am a degree qualified Primary Tutor with over 10 years' experience working with children in a variety of Oldham Primary Schools and 4 years' tutoring experience.
I am able to tutor children in English, Maths and Science at Key Stages 1 & 2 and have experience of working with children who have Special Educational Needs.
I am also able to support students with the additional requirements of 11+/Entrance exams (including study of verbal/non-verbal reasoning materials).
Approach to tutoring
I have always believed in the benefits of 1 to 1 tuition and aim to create an individual learning programme suited to each child's particular needs/learning styles.My main aim is to build a child's confidence, thus raising their self-esteem and enabling them to achieve their full potential. My sessions are informal and enjoyable, including a combination of written and verbal activities, games and ICT.
