I am a very enthusiastic teacher who loves to share knowledge with other people and also love learning myself.

I am able to tutor in most GCSE subjects, but especially Maths and all 3 Science's. As I have gained very good GCSE result's myself in these subjects. But I do have experience in tutoring subjects such as History, Geography and English

Tutoring experience

Previously I have volunteered to tutor children in my school in both English and Mathematics.

I feel I made a big difference in all the children I worked with. The one I am most proud was a child who was new to this country, at first he struggled reciting the letters of the alphabet but after around 3 months he was able to read fairly complex sentences without hesitation.

Both experiences I had tutoring children in my high school have shown my respect and empathy. In both cases I was working with students who were not very able, this usually was because they were new to the country, I made sure I empathised about how they felt and also tried to adapt my teaching style to ensure each child took as much as they could from me, this could have been by using activities and games instead of just doing worksheets or just by encouraging the student lightly and show him regularly how much progress he/she had made, to keep their motivation up.


I also have experience in tutoring a child very recently, and within a few weeks all his teachers were saying that he was making excellent progress and had greatly improved from his previous levels.

Approach to tutoring

I like to suit my style in order to make sure the student gets the most from the time spent with me. I always like to think of my students as friends because I feel that by doing so makes them comfortable and allows them to learn better.I also feel that since I am of a similar age, I know what they want to learn like and how they think

I believe a proper level of understanding can only be achieved by guiding the tutee through plenty of worked examples, I believe that real world applications make things much easier to understand so I try to incorporate applied and real world knowledge, as this will help a student not only in the exams but in real life.
